	SUMMARY OF POSITION
	Accurately & efficiently cook meats, vegetables & other hot food products as well as prepare & portion food products prior to cooking.  Cook & prepare a variety of food products using a variety of equipment according to the Daily Prep List.  Also perform other duties in the areas of food & final plate preparation including plating & garnishing cooked items.
	DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
	- 
		Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables & other items for cooking using a variety of equipment.
- 
		Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of every shift for assigned duties.
- 
		Understands & complies with our consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, product presentation & kitchen rules, policies & procedures.
- 
		Handles, stores & rotates all products properly.
- 
		Maintains a clean & sanitary work station at all times.
- 
		Stocks & maintains sufficient product levels to ensure a smooth service period.  Restocks pars for next shift.
- 
		Follows our standard recipe card for preparation of all products.
- 
		Promptly reports equipment and / or food quality problems to Kitchen Manager.
- 
		Inform Kitchen Manager immediately of any product or ingredient shortages.
- 
		Closes the kitchen properly & follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations.  Assists co-workers in closing the kitchen.
- 
		Attends all scheduled employee meetings & brings suggestions & ideas for improvement.
- 
		Performs other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or the Manager on Duty.
	 
                    
                 
             
            
            
            
                Requirements
                
                
                    
                        
	QUALIFICATIONS
	- 
		Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation & cooking.
- 
		At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
- 
		Must be able to communicate clearly with managers & kitchen personnel.
- 
		Night & weekend availability required.
- 
		Must be able to bend, stoop & frequently lift up to 60 lbs.
- 
		Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
